One from the archives. I saw this while driving past the end of the street and had to turn the car around in order to get the capture. This was taken about 1.00 pm despite the exif data saying otherwise - mainly because I forgot to reset the camera clock when I arrived in the US.

I live at a point on the river where it meets the sea and as a result there are tidal mudflats which are exposed at low tide and are covered by high tide. In this image you can see a river navigation beacon just behind the yacht. I wanted to make the yacht the main focus of this image, which was rather flat and uninspiring as an original. I live at a point on the river where it meets the sea and as a result there are tidal mudflats which are exposed at low tide and are covered by high tide. In this image you can see a river navigation beacon just behind the yacht. I wanted to make the yacht the main focus of this image, which was rather flat and uninspiring as an original. The overall grey tone simplifies the background and the vignette keeps the eye from wandering around too much. 

Unusually low cloud over the city produced this interesting skyline. I'm going to have to work some more on this image as the original file looks much sharper.
