I live at a point on the river where it meets the sea and as a result there are tidal mudflats which are exposed at low tide and are covered by high tide. In this image you can see a river navigation beacon just behind the yacht.

I wanted to make the yacht the main focus of this image, which was rather flat and uninspiring as an original. The overall grey tone simplifies the background and the vignette keeps the eye from wandering around too much.
